Ronnie led this ride. Weather was about 60 or so and overcast. Andy, our new member Dan, and Don met in Fishersville then went on 250 through Staunton. (The ride's first 3 mile leg brought us to Burger King.) After lunch, 250 to Churchville, then onto 42. Through Craigsville and stopped at the BP near the turn to Goshen. After a break, we rolled through Goshen. The water was high roads were mostly clear of the winter anti-skid gravel. |

We stopped by the overlook. Dan is relatively new to the area, so it was a pretty spot to show off! Andy spent summer days here in this country, of course staying out of trouble! l-r Andy, Ronnie, Dan, Don We'd planned to turn off onto 252* and send Andy on his way, but at the turn changed plans. We stopped at the LeeHigh Shell station for gas, then left Andy and rolled home on 11 to 340 and home. *Near the turnoff onto 252, my new footpeg extenders on the highway bars had moved lower and scraped a bit whipping through the twistys from the overlook back to 11... hmmmm... |
