Sunny's fun, Scooter's woes

On April 25, Sunny set up a ride.  While Sarcastro, Jazzman and Geezer were honing skills in the MSF Advanced Rider course on a parking lot, some of us put miles on the bikes straighter and faster than they did.  Sunny set up the ride that would start at the Harley shop as she'd gotten an "expensive T-shirt.  Fatback met Sunny and Gunny to find Sunny with her expensive T-shirt - a brand new Dyna Low Rider.  We left from there, to Bridgewater, over to Rt 33 to Franklin, WV, over to Monterey, home on 250.  It was a beautiful day, only a couple of deer crossed in front of us and we ran into some buds in Monterey.  The new Harley is spectacular it was a beautiful day to put the first miles on that bike!

The next day, Jazzman set up a ride south to Fincastle.  We had Jazz, Fatback, Scooter Boy, Dudley and his bride, Travis and Geezer along.  On the interstate near Clifton Forge, Scooter Boy had a flat. He'd picked up a substantial piece of wire that punctured the tire in two places.  Geezer and Travis had plug kits, compressor, and Slime, so they got the bike to the next exit.  After trying to plug the tire again, the cut was too substantial to accept a plug or the Fix-a-Flat.  So he called his wife to the rescue to come fetch him with a trailer.  The rest of us motored on our route to Fincastle, over to Buena Vista, made a stop at Kenny Burger, and home.  Another beautiful day - it wasn't the greatest for poor Scooter boy, but in the end he made it home safely!
